I am a cider drinker, I drinks it all of the day, I am a cider drinker, It soothes all me troubles away, Ooh aargh ooh argh aay.

Join The Grainstore Brewery, as we go a bit ‘West Country’, by celebrating all that is great about English Cider and Sausages with the 2nd Rutland Cider & Sausage Festival. Featuring some great live entertainment each night, the 'National Leg Wrestling Championships' and loads of great sausages cooked in loads of different ways!

Friday 1st June - 8.30pm - Pennyless - Pennyless' journey has taken them through English counties – to pubs, festivals and fairs, on beaches and boats, writing songs and reworking traditional tunes. Bringing folk to the folk; giving people something joyously up-lifting that they never knew they were missing! Pennyless are Les Woods (Guitar and Vocals) and Penny Stevens (Fiddle and Vocals).

Saturday 2nd June - 8.30pm - Blues Soul Revue - An exciting new band playing tribute to a unique blend of Soul, Rythmn and Blues. Featuring in particular the Blues Brothers and Commitments music.

Capturing all the energy and spirit to create the atmosphere and brilliance of these two great movies with tracks such as Mustang Sally, Hard to Handle, Take me to the River, Everybody Needs Somebody, Gimme Some Lovin', and Sweet Home Chicago.

Sunday 3rd June - from 6pm - Sam Kellys’ Drum Workshop followed by the Sam Kelly Blues Band from 8.30pm: Playing as part of our Cider and Sausage Festival Celebrations, this is an Opportunity not to be missed! A One and half hour long drum workshop conducted by the legendary Mr Sam Kelly, followed by the chance to watch him put it into action!

Monday 4th June - 8.30pm - The Black Sheep Band - The Black Sheep Band: Jane has a unique ‘English-rose’ voice .They perform flower-powered songs that suit this sound together with rhythmic guitar/mandolin from Martin and a variety of piano/organ/bass/percussion accompaniments from Phil. His skill as an arranger means that Phil is able to adapt the songs to their 3-piece band, providing as full a sound as possible. Great songs from Joni Mitchell, The Starland Vocal Band, Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, Mike Oldfield, James Taylor, Bread, Carpenters and The Mamas & The Papas...

22/07/2012 A Lost Weekend in Rutland - Music Festival

A Lost Weekend is an exciting music festival which will take place on 21st and 22nd July 2012 at Rutland Water. There will be two stages - the main stage will feature national and international artists, while the second stage will showcase unsigned acts.
The festival will have a range of food and drink from around the world as well as non-food stalls. The bars on site will be provided by our licensed partners, The Grainstore Brewery from Oakham. There will be a campsite which will open to the public on Friday 20th July and close on Monday 23rd July, to enable visitors to not only enjoy the festival but spend a little time enjoying the delights of Rutland.
The festival is planned to become an annual event bringing world class musical artists to the county.

Thursday 23rd - Monday 27th August

The 13th Rutland Beer Festival held at The Grainstore Brewery, brings together a wide range of real ales from around the UK. Featuring over seventy Real Ales with an array of golden ales, stouts, bitters, porters and barley wines we also offer a wide selection of traditional ciders.

There’s live entertainment and barbecues every day.
